Our charming Chalet Piz da Peres is situated in a peaceful and very sunny location in Geiselsberg, right next to Kronplatz ski resort. Geiselsberg is a small mountain village in South Tyrol and belongs to the municipality of Olang, in the heart of Puster Valley. Nestling in an idyllic location at an altitude of 1214 m, Chalet Piz da Peres is the ideal starting point for numerous hikes – up to Geiselsberg mountain lodge, for example, or along any of the many trails that lead through the region’s nature parks (Fanes-Sennes-Prags and Rieserferner-Ahrn). Avid walkers will also enjoy hiking up Dreifingerspitze mountain, or to Hochalpensee Lake, or up the Drei Zinnen (Tre Cime di Lavaredo) peaks in the nearby Dolomites.

Chalet Piz da Peres is perfect not only for hikers, but also for MTB enthusiasts and guests with pedelecs. It’s the ideal starting point for a wide variety of trails and cycle routes. If you’re ready for a real challenge, for example, you can follow the trail of the world-famous Giro d’Italia and cycle up to Furkel Pass, then on to the summit of Kronplatz Mountain. Puster Valley boasts an extensive network of cycle paths all the way to Lienz in East Tyrol (Austria), and there are various downhill and freeride trails for MTB enthusiasts on Kronplatz Mountain.

Olang and the surrounding area offer a wide range of additional outdoor activities:
Choose from horse riding, swimming, tennis, golf, a children’s play centre in Olang with giant slide, water play area and treehouse trail, or the “Kron Arc Adventure” park in Olang with its exciting 3-D archery trail.

Lake Prags, surrounded by a majestic backdrop of mountains, Lake Anterselva behind the world-famous biathlon centre, Lake Dobbiaco with boat hire and delightful promenades, Lake Misurina, Cortina d’Ampezzo ski resort (set to host the 2026 Winter Olympics together with Milan), the world-famous Drei Zinnen (Tre Cime di Lavaredo) peaks in the Sexten Dolomites, day trips to the gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, just south of Meran, or to visit the remains of Ötzi the Iceman in the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology in Bolzano.

All guests staying in Chalet Piz da Peres are free to use the large garden where you’ll find a lawn for sunbathing, sun loungers, a small natural swimming pool and a barbecue area. There’s even a kitchen garden where guests are welcome to harvest fresh vegetables and herbs at no extra cost (in season, and subject to availability).
